S.M.S.L - SD-9

The unique and high-performance SOC(ARM)+CPLD architecture is at the core of the SMSL SD-9 HiFi Network Music Player. The SOC takes care of seamless decoding while the CPLD keeps a check on the clock management of the audio system. Made by dual audio frequency clocks—22.5792MHz and 24.576MHz, the audio clock system of the SD-9 significantly eliminates clock jitter so as to aid accurate audio playback. Moreover, the low noise switching power supply of the SD-9 is highly efficient. This player comes with tempered glass on the top and it supports a wide range of audio formats including MQA, DSD, WAV, APE, FLAC, AIFF and MP3.

Analogue to digital audio conversion causes blurring transient response that reduces audio clarity. MQA eliminates this distortion to create a true 3D sound field that makes all the difference. MQA uses 24/192 recording to remove those distortions at the beginning and the end of the transient response. You can use streaming services like DLNA, AirPlay, QQ Music, Kugou Music, NetEase Music and Hiby link support (Control it using the Hiby mobile app).

Post distortion removal, MQA adapts large-sized music files to adapt according to the playback device using a process called 'musical origami'. The MQA decoder upgrades sound way beyond the CD quality and supports Bluesound, Pioneer, Onkyo's player along with the ROON streaming service. The MQA renderer completes the setup turning SMSL SD-9 into a full-blown MQA enabled device allowing you to enjoy sound in its purest studio quality just like the artist intended.

Packing a fully functional audio output interface, the SMSL SD-9 sports a remote window, a display screen with newly designed UI and a volume knob in the front. On the backside, it offers an optical output, 2.4G/ 5G dual-frequency antenna, Bluetooth, power AC input, LAN interface, USB 2.0 interface, USB Audio input, AES/EBU output, Coaxial output, 12S output interface and a Micro SD card slot. This network digital player supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi connection along with transmitting and receiving functions of Bluetooth. The USB DAC/I2S output extends support to up to PCM 32 bit/384kHz and DSD256.

External hard disks paired using the USB can manage up to 4TB of storage and it supports TFS/ FAT32 format. Using the USB DAC function, you can choose to play music from your computer using USB-PC. With USB-OTG you can pair other USB DAC to enjoy a higher bit rate or DSD through USB. Manage the SMSL SD-9 either with knob buttons on the panel or the dedicated remote control
